Homeschooling Update…

March 10, 2010

I know you all have been wondering how it is going with the homeschooling (actually, I realize most of you haven’t given it one single thought since my very first post about it). Either way, here is what we are up to:
We are preparing to take test #120 next week. (don’t worry…i didn’t make them take 120 tests….) They take a test every 20 lessons, so this is actually test #6 and we only have to take 8. Being the math whiz that I am, that will only leave 2 more tests and then…..TERMINAMOS! (we are finished!) The tests are long…they take the kids two days usually and it is about an hour (sometimes more) each day.

Since we are doing such a great job with the academic lessons, I decided to implement a wonderful new ART program into our studies…..watercolors! Actually, we were bored so we bought paint at that wonderful store which sells pig’s heads next to glue sticks!

Thought you might like to see the fruits of our labor!

Meg, homeschooling wizard! Looks like you have stayed on track, time wise! Nice job! Glad you found time to add some fine arts into your academic program! Am impressed with the Easter egg? The crab, the ice cream cone, and the landscape with flowers also looks good, but the monkey (?) is blocking most of the scene!
For some reason, this looks like it might not post in the right area??? Anyway, keep up the good job. Miss you all.

Great job Megan! You have the gift. So glad you do more than public schools these days (with art as part of your curriculum!) Love these beautiful pieces of creativity!
